I’m fucking gutted...
Absolutely.

I never ever thought this day would come so soon.

I agonize over what his wife and daughter are going through. And the boys.
No words. No words...

He probably wouldn’t want to be called a hero, but that’s exactly what he was to many.

Ach...
It's difficult news to hear. Rest in peace.
This is a really hard one to take.
It says something about the Rush camp that not a single word of this has come out in the (apparently) 3 and a half years he's been fighting this.
If there's anyone close, (Brutus?) our deepest condolences to the band, his family and friends.
I could not believe the news. I thought it was wrong. So saddened from this. I am so grateful that Neil provided for us this place to hang out and chat.

Rey - its good to see you again buddy, but in such sad circumstances. Neil gave us a great place to chat. RIP.
I have always felt that this Forum was such a sweet gift from The Man.
Think about it, he was uncomfortable with adulation...he so valued his privacy, yet he created a public Forum for those of us that were like him: fans of the total ball of wax that is Life.

Here we could discuss food, motorcycling, drumming, and all the other elements of life. He trusted us not to turn the place into a zoo of hero-worship. He took a chance on us and I'd like to think that we played by the rules and didn't make him sorry he opened Bubba's up to us. We all grooved on being part of this special place. In some way, it allowed us to feel close to him without crowding him.

If you think about ALL the gifts he gave out in his life, it is kinda hard to grok.

R.I.P. Neil.

My thoughts exactly, RIP.
Well said Nung. Very well said indeed.
