Vincent, I'll post the lavender syrup in the cocktails thread and the shortbread in the cookie one.

I will look tomorrow for my biscotti recipe and post it in the cookie thread, as well.
Now I have to remember to look it up! It all sounds so good.
Garden question:
The variety I have is called "lavandula" or something like that. I want to verify that it is in fact lavender that's edible.
"He died from lavandula poisoning."

"Yeah but his breath smells so good, even when the casket is closed."
Only a problem if you chug lavender oil, Vincent. You're not planning on doing that, right?

I've been known to do some pretty crazy stuff. You just never know when I might be impulsive.
I picked all my gourds from the garden today because yesterday IT SNOWED on and off all day! ACK! Already?????? It's sunny and beautiful today, but only 45 degrees. The snow was all melted by 11 this AM. Anyway, the longest gourd is about 18" long.

Beautiful, GW! What a lovely bunch of Autumn
Can you believe that we are still getting tomatoes? Last year we got them up until the Winter Solstice.
Wow Gunga!! That is a lot of gourds!!
Those look nice! But I'm curious, how you will use them, I mean, you don't eat them do you? Really, I have no idea

, or are they just used for decoration?

They're for decoration, Rey. I hear they're very bitter if you try to eat them. I plan on giving some of them to the neighbors and letting some dry to make bird feeders and/or bird houses with them. I also have 30 pumpkins in the garden for the neighbor kids to have. I'll keep a few pumpkins for pies and bread

YUM!
Scythe-my big tomatoes may not ripen in time before it gets really cold. I may have to bring them in and let them finish inside. The cherry and grape tomatoes have gone crazy. Everyone is sick of them-haha. For next year, does anyone know how to get large tomatoes to get with the program faster with such a short growing season???
