Recently I have been playing my ddrum4se digital drums. They are a great kit, and the nearest I have owned that sound and feel like a proper drum kit - trouble is as a digital kit they are quiet - so my performance would not have been heard anyway - unless it was a direct feed into their machinery.

Trouble with the kit though, it has rather harsh pads, and after a few weeks playing them I feel as though I have rheumatoid arthritis, and I am popping pain killers just to sit still, let alone pick anything up.....so I have stopped playing them, and gone back to the Tama in the hope that things get better.

It would be par the course to have wanted so much to tour as a band and do some big gigs, only to be granted that wish 31 years too late, and too ill to play the drums..

That it would! Hopefully you can find a way to play both sets without being in pain. That does rather take the fun out of it.


A friend of mine posted this on FB today. An old wagon wheel as a sectional planter... What a cool idea!

I do like that wagon wheel - looks great.

Ohh I like that look. Nice way to arrange an herb garden.

It probably works best with succulents and miniature plants on a smaller scale like a wagon wheel... otherwise it would be a bit of maintenance to continually trim.

Thyme or lemongrass or a miniature sedum species would work but require a little trimming.

I spent part of yesterday starting seeds for the vegetable and herb gardens, but I'm not done yet. I had forgotten to get cucumber seeds, and cherry tomatoes, so when I was at the hardware store yesterday, I got those, and 2 more starter trays. I still have to start my flower seeds, and had already used the 2 trays I had.
Now to figure out where the large vegetable garden is going. I want to build a raised bed for it.

I will be planting out some onions in the next few days.....probably won`t bother with Chili`s for this year...

We planted the rest of our peas and all the beets before I left for a two day college tour with 20 or so of my kids. 4 colleges. two days. 600+miles. I am officially tired. Will need to plant carrots and parsnips this weekend.

You people are so dedicated! Starting everything from seed...
I'm so lazy! Planted lettuces last week (from plants). You just reminded me-I need to water them. We're experiencing a drought over here!

Went nuts with pansies and bulbs. I'm way over budget!
