I was a big fan of Watterson's work and my handle is an homage to Calvin and my amateur fascination with all things extraterrestrial!

One of my all time favorites... right up there with Bloom County & Outland.
Welcome to the zoo "Spiff"

Thank you Mufasa...feels like home.
Sorry, for the lack of originality, but I was handed this "handle" back in '81 - fresh outta high school from New Orleans at 17. I dove head first in to corporate IT in Dallas, and was working whenever I could, so that's what my friends called me; and it's stuck ever since. I relish the title, but sometimes those that don't know me, scoff. Those that know me, say nothing could suit me better.

I'll trust those I know.

My son Sam and I were great fans of Watterson's work when Sam was a young impressionable lad. My wife still is unsure of the choices I made when it came to sharing things with Sam. I was sort of the anti-dad in that regard and introduced him to Ren and Stimpy, Fritz the Cat, South Park, Ringo Starr in Thomas The Tank Engine...all that very subversive stuff....

Thank you Mufasa...feels like home.

I don't want to give it it away - it's a bit of a twist/pun. Who else was leader of a communist regime for awhile?
