Just saw "Book of Eli" and "The Bounty Hunter (Girard Butler and Jennifer Aniston :drools
". Both were pretty good. Not what I'd say are "Must buy" but good. Jennifer keeps looking better all the time and I can't think of a movie or show she was in that I didn't care for. Will be interesting to see how she handles characters and her career as she gets older...
"Inception" was fantastic. Christopher Nolan is proving to be one of the best new directors making mainstream Hollywood films. Let's hope that he can continue to bring the goods.

Oh my goodness - where to start?!?!?
Well, first off - I just don't watch much "tv" any more. My mother might faint if she ever heard me say that, but the honest truth is there just is not much on I really care to watch any more unless you are talking Discovery Channel History Channel and NASA Channel. Direct TV is awesome for carrying some channels you just dont get on cable.
Movies, on the other hand, are perfect for my wife and I. We LOVE movies and try to see as many as we can. Some of my most favorite movies are movies about a real person or true events. So lets see if I can break out a few of my favorites - in no particular order:

Its so hard to just say which ones my true favs are. I enjoy a lot of movies, and I mean a lot. Some have the same story line, but I like them for the screen play or the adaptation, or maybe the special effects. Some just entertain my simple mind. Some are just too goofy but I like them anyway. I would say the one that got to me the most was K-19:Widowmaker, mostly because of my service in submarines, and knowing what those men did regardless of the cost. Overall if a movie is a representation of a true event those are my more favorite movies, because they tell a story based on events or people that are real and tangible. I think another set of movies I forgot to mention are concert dvds from a certain band we all know and love. Those I keep on my desk.

I have a few I suppose. Ones that stand out were life changing; perspective shifters or inspirational.
The first few must be seen in their native languages with subtitles; don't settle for dubbed versions. You don't even see the words after five minutes;trust me. You have to see the whole thing before you make a decision to say you don't like them. I showed these when I was an Italian/Spanish teacher:

We're watching "Airplane" tonight, in honor of Leslie Nielsen. I have never actually seen this movie, but I've heard enough quotes from it over the years that I feel like I've seen it. It just started playing and I've already had a few chuckles over it.
Oh and as I was putting in that led Zeppelin song ramble on, elaine dickinson came on the intercom (the red phone) and reminded us that

but elaine stuck me with such sense when she alluded to a possibility of realizing that when you feel like they should let all the lunatics out of the asylum and put all the sane people in the place of the lunatics and then she had a quick realization and snapped out of it at the very moment that it was a ludicrous thing to say.
I worked in video retail for a long time (7 years or so). It's really hard to say I have any personal fave's since I saw so many. I have films on heavy rotation, stuff I will watch any time, even on TV with commercials - good to catch flicks while cleaning the house or other activities. Here's a few (no particular order):
