I have only found this recipe once but unfortunately we went through a major flood and lost just about everything we owned and sadly that Peanut Butter Pie recipe was in it. I have searched high and low and no one has it. Every recipe I find has Cream Cheese in it and this one did not, also it does not need to be cooked. I know it contained Peanut Butter and Powdered Sugar. Can anyone help?
There's this one:

2 pkgs (3 oz each) cook and serve vanilla or chocolate pudding
4 cups milk
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
3/4 cup confectioners sugar
1 pastry shell, baked ( 9 inch)
whipped cream

Directions:
1) In a saucepan, cook pudding and milk over med heat until thickened and bubbly.
2) Remove from the heat and cool slightly.
3) Meanwhile, in a bowl, cut peanut butter into confectioners sugar until small crumbles form. ( peanut butter may very in consistancy; may need to add more confectioners sugar)
4) Set aside 2 tbsp of crumbs ; sprinkle remaining mix into pie shell.
5) Pour pudding over crumbs.
6) Chill until set.
7) Top with whipped cream and reserved crumbs.
Thanks but not it. This was super simple, only had like 4 or 5 ingredients and no cooking required. It was the BEST peanut Butter Pie I have ever had. Came out of a cookbook we purchased as a school fundraiser and was called something like Old Timey recipes or something.
1 (5 ounce) package Jell-O Instant Vanilla Pudding
2 cups cold skim or whole milk
1/2 cup whipping cream, whipped
1 1/4 cups creamy peanut butter
1 pre-baked or homemade pie shell, lightly browned
1 (8 ounce) container Cool Whip
Garnish: chocolate syrup and crushed peanuts

Whisk together pudding mix and cold milk in bowl until creamy. Add 1/2 cup whipped whipping cream, peanut butter. Whisk until completely blended. Pour into baked pie shell, cover with generous layer of Cool Whip whipped topping.

Put in freezer for 1 hour until set. Remove from freezer, drizzle with your favorite chocolate syrup and crushed peanuts.

Cover, chill 2 hours, serve.

Nope not it either Maiden lol. It had powdered sugar in it and took a graham cracker crust but no pudding. However the second recipe is closer. From what I remember these are the ingredients.

Peanut Butter
Powdered Sugar
Whipped Topping
Peanut Butter chips

No cream cheese, no chocolate, no cooking, no freezer time, no pudding. It was a very simple recipe that took about 5 mins to make. If and when I ever find it I will post it. Truly one of the greatest pies I have ever tasted. Mouthwatering.

This may not help but I was waiting in the checkout line at the grocery store and I believe it contained the recipe above. I almost bought the book, but I have so many dessert recipes I passed. When you check out there is a rack of 5x7 books that have the latest info on the soap operas this was the same size and sitting right among them. A lot of the recipes were real quick and simple and I think it may have been called Quick and Simple Recipes. I will find out more info next time I go to the store.

Oh well, I tried lol Smile
I appreciate it! I feel I have forever lost one of my favorite recipes.

That Peanut Butter Pie recipe was my Time Machine. The first time I ever tasted it was at this little hole in wall restaurant on my way to Indiana Beach when I was about 7 years old. That little piece of heaven stuck with me with ever piece of PBP I had. Then my kiddos brought home that fundraiser and lo and behold there she was! If I ever find it again I am gonna make copies and laminate them, make a million of them so I never lose it again!
