AHA! Thanks!
I surf that site from time to time, but there is just too much to find in there. Thats low enough that maybe Mrs Claus might be inclined to give it a look see!!

Trying to decide if I should buy tickets, The pre-sale starts tomorrow.

I hear he puts on a great show. I would love to see him, but with Christmas, tuition, books, etc it isn't in the budget right now. However, when a certain three member band announces their dates that will definitely be in the budget Cool

My wife is trying to fanangle a trip to Ireland for the Dublin show, or maybe even a trip to Scotland for the Glasgow show. She won't go to the show but she'll take the sights in as well as my Mastercard for that one.

Not quite THAT well off dear.
I hear ya, Boomer! It would be a great show and a chance to see some great sights. Don't ya wish you were independently wealthy sometimes?
Sometimes? Heck I could retire right now if I were that well off, but then reality hits, my boss wakes me up from my power nap, and my blood pressure hits the roof again! I'd love to go back to Scotland, if for nothing else just to show my wife what a beautiful country it is, but its a dream I'll have to keep on the back burner for now.

I will be getting it for Christmas for him, I just want to make sure I get the right one/fit for him. I am going to go to the store his guitar teacher works/teaches at and probably to Guitar Center.

Also if he has small hands that's a huge factor! Make sure guitar center knows that intel prior to selection. Some guitars have a very thick neck and can be difficult to get around. I agree with Mufasa, the epi's are solid! Great choice in a guitar right there and the sky is the limit with choices and fits.

Can we talk about drums nowBig Grin Guitar people are so wierdTongue

If I wanted to start playing, just pick up a simple set up and take some lessons to show me where the chords are stuff like that, you're saying I could pick up a starter for around $500? Am I reading that right? I have been wanting to pick up an instrument for so long it makes my earlobes hurt, and all I want to do is play....I dont have to be 'extroardinarily' gifted just play. The stuff I have been pricing....$800 just for the instrument and another $500 for the amp. Talk to me ....cuz I am listening!

Can I give my twocents brotherman? Go get a cheap acustic guitar and get on YouTube to learn how to play. Learn a few scales and chords and You'll be rippin within no time. Your finger tips are gonna hurt for a while at first but as soon as you figure out how to play that first riff and you get to the point where you can nail it, it's all worth it. Trust me, it's a high! Got to get a tuner or your experience will be awful.

You can transport your guitar on your bike with minor alterations.

classic! No Coffee!!
Listening to some Joe Bonamassa. He is one great blues/rock guitarist. Not very popular in the US, though.
