I LIKE your style Dan!
RIP Gerry Rafferty...I remember drinking in a bar in Fort Lauderdale in 1979. The love of my life at the time had left me after 7 years together. Dos Equis with Cuervo chasers, one after the other as I fed money into the juke box and played this one song over and over and over again. They had to ask me to leave as I was bumming out the whole bar. Still can't listen to this song without choaking back tears.

I have to say AMEN to that man. I loved his music and his voice was like smooth as silk. I was soo bummed out to hear of his passing. What a talent and what a loss. Way before his time if you ask me.
Yeah - I heard about that the other day. Look at all those bikinis!

Another life lost way too early.
May they both Rest in Peace. They were both too young.

Big Grin I did. Smile
The song that gets me every time is "Mother". That song has about 5 different meanings to me, all of which involve atleast a tear. That was my soul searching song when my bac hit about .18%.
I think I got alot of hard times figured out because of Pink Floyd.
Recently I re-discovered one of my fav prog-rock bands of the 1970's.

Gentle Giant Freehand still kicks from 1978.

Crap, I must be old.
