There is a sign at the entrance of the store, "No shoes, no black robe, no unshaven feet, no service!"

Walmartians are definitely a different breed! Don't we all remember the "You're not wearing THAT out of MY house" reminder when we were growing up?! Along those same lines, one of my Pet Peeve's is the kids waiting on the school bus outside my house, snow on the ground, with pajama bottoms and a T-shirt on...to go to school?! I saw a little girl (14?) this morning pulling onto base that was walking to her bus stop...28 degrees out, ice on the road, and she's sportin leather Daisy Duke shorts and a leather jacket! "Where are your Parents?!" was all I could think out loud.*sigh*
Slotted screws (single slot)

I see girls at church dressed like that in the middle of winter, and then complain that their cold. I'm just so tempted to ask them, "Well, whose fault is that?" (if they're teenagers, they can't blame their folks)
When your employer knows that you have a major food allergy, and orders food for everyone on the staff, is it too much to ask to have them plan one item for you to eat? Yesterday, I went to our staff lunch, and the only thing I could have was soda, because even the salad had cheese on it! I'm not the only person on the staff with this allergy(milk), but I have the most severe case, and I've been there forever!
Not only could I not eat the food, I had to leave and go back to my classroom to eat, because I had been out of the building at meetings all morning, and had left my "emergency lunch" there. So I missed out on an opportunity to network with the rest of the staff and had to eat my usual cold lunch.

My only rescue was that my co worker, who had also been out of the building all morning, had not yet eaten(someone saved food for her and brought it over) and came and ate with me, or I would have had to eat alone too.

Having food allergies sucks.

Hey thats too bad they didn't think of you and something else for you.

Mrs. Rey bought some of that soy milk recently to try. Can you drink that with the allergy? I thought I wouldn't like it, but it was vanilla flavored, and actually tasted pretty good with some cereal. The vanilla really added to the taste of the cereal. Plus its even lower in calories than skim milk and has more calcium in it. Not bad overall.
Livi used to have SMA weysoy as a baby as she was milk intollerant - grew it out of it though at about 8 years......
That would piss me off, too! Jeez, how obnoxious! [Image: nonono.gif]

I carry my lactose pills with me everywhere but intolerance isn't the same as an allergy.

Our 4yo loves chocolate milk, and awhile back we decided to switch out regular milk (to which we would add low sugar choc syrup) for chocolate soy....he never noticed the change! We like that he's getting better nutritional value from the soy, and the overall sugar content is lower.

I'm not a big milk drinker, but have tried soy milk products in an attempt to increase calcium and protein intake. The vanilla flavor definitely enhances cereal!
