Tim you rock brother! I got it, and I like it a lot.
Reminds me alot of old Maiden and Kiss.
Love the warm wash of your ride. Nice selection.

Thank goodness for that....I am really pleased. I thought you were going to beat the Canadian reviewer record of three into the twilight zone!!

Mate........thats a Paragon from Sabian.........they actually gave me a set for a European RUSH convention........They are beautiful cymbals......especially the hats, and the 16" crash.
Lol no wonder I love the ride! I have Paragons too, a full flight set. Can't beat the Paragons man, they are something for sure. I can't figure out how on earth you guys put photos on here yet so all my drum shots will have to wait. Once I get edjimicatid, I'll post em. Boomski help!
NBC - There is advice on one of the read me threads. The key is to click on the bigger new reply button, and not reply button. Then you can add an image by uploading it (browse your photos documents etc - although only within certain sizes) or you can link to a picture elsewhere on the web, by clicking insert image, (my firewall prevents this so I have to say it is ok this time) click again on insert image and a text box appears with http:// all you have to do then is go to the image you want to link to, right click on it, click properties and it will show the url of the pic - copy the url from the www. bit onwards, (as the text box has already got the http;//), paste and that should be it.
Good luck mate. Paragons are very special for sure. Bloody heavy though, I have the 22" Ride and I nearly break my wrist putting it on a stand - I need a drum tech to do it for me - no wonder Lorne is known as gump (or is that grump).

Where are you posting images from? Or better yet, where are the images?
BAsically - its just a cut n paste job of a line of code is all. If you have trouble with it give me a shout tonight and I'll try to help. In your case it might be a little slow given where you are logging in from.
Hey NWoBHM that looks like it is going to be an awesome set. I would like to see pictures when its done!
I have gone ahead and set up an entry level (i.e cheap) digital drum set in the basement. I am by no means a drummer, I'm just starting at it and learning, but it is great fun to go down there and makes lots of noise. I am really surprised on how good it sounds, after wiring it through some big speakers. I could post a picture of it if anyone would like to see, its fun to see others setups.
Also Tim since this is a digital kit, how are you planning to amplify it while playing?

I still have my 1981 Tama Superstar (same as Bubba`s from the Moving Pictures era)
Anyway - here is a pick of the snare -

I would cetrianly like to see some photos of it Rey. Its amazing how much edrums have come along in playability, sound and looks. I was one of the "early adopters" of the Simmons SDX 10. At £9K in the early Nineties that was an expensive kit and it blew up eventually -

I use a Roland PM30 amp and speaker - it is bloody loud and very good for home/studio use - not tried it on stage but it would be a personal monitor in that regard and I would either go from there to the PA or DI from it. A lot of the time I use Beyer headphones and have the TD20 mixed in with whatever I am playing along to that day - today was AFTK, Living Colour, and Led Zep.

Here, everyone can take a peek into my basement.
Like I said, this is just a cheap set, but not too bad for a beginner. They had a little itty bitty amp that they recommended you buy with it but I thought it is not going to sound very good through that.
So I picked up these vintage speakers from a sale near me, you can see them in the background, they are called the Mach Two speakers, and they have these 15" woofers in them, so I am using them like PA speakers. Yes people may snicker at the brand, but really, they work well for the drums, and they were only $20.
And powering them with an old Sansui amp, and running the drums through it all, they sound really good. A big, fat, present, and full sound, like drums should sound like. They will make the window frames rattle when I want it, or can tone it down with the volume control when my ears (or others) can't take it.
The set plays pretty good, the cymbal pads could be a bit more responsive though, the hi hat sometimes misses a beat when playing it fast.

Oooh wow a pole! Boomchinkawahwah
Rey - Mate your basement looks the "mutts nuts" - fantastic place to just go and play!!
So what make of kit is it? The cymbals look like Yamaha? although the pads and module dont look familiar at all?? Let me know mate I am intrigued.
