Hi Rey, I dont Tweet either, and I am thinking myspace has completely lost the plot.......
Gavin Harrison! Superb drummer! What musicality!

And yeah, FaceBook is not my cup of tea. I understand the benefits of it but I just don't want my life and my interests to benefit the Mass Marketing Machine.

OK SM who is the guitar grandmaster you speak of?

Also "Tecumseh" in your sig - I am sure that`s the bloke who makes the engine on my lawn mower?

Um.. well he plays with these other 2 Canadian guys. I'm told that if I can play his stuff everything else will be a breeze.... So I practice every day and can play several songs and bits and pieces of others. It's a start, eh?

Not sure if Native American leaders make lawn mower engines..? Wink

Rock on!
And you, Vincent!! Big Grin
Thought about posting this in the "What do you miss" thread, but it is more drumming.

I miss my old 1980`s Speedking Pedal, and Ludwig 400 - I woke up one morning and decided I didn`t like them anymore and just gave them away for a song - I have given away other gear to struggling and poor drummers before, (for free), but these I did get something for, but no where near the market value......Now I would really love a Speedking again, and this time the bigger Ludwig 402 - so I can get really into my Bonham, Paice and Kirke drumming........

Talking of Bonham, I gather Tan has purchased me a Ralph Kester Ching Ring for my birthday - I can`t wait to meet up with that baby.......

I know what you mean about both areas. I too have sold drum equipment that I wish I had kept. But even more, I have often given away equipment to younger drummers to help push their passion. Cymbals, stands, hats, pedals, snares, etc. It is a good thing to do and I always feel fulfilled doing things like that. I have given away old keyboards and recording gear too. Why let it sit when it could be in someone else's hands?
Paying it forward and all that rot!

Paying it foward and all that rot!

I agree with that totally. An instrument should be played - if not by me by somebody........
NWo - When my second daughter was born, I sold my first set: Ludwig Vistalites (Blue) on a full Gibralter rack.
The things you do for love.... idiot.
Mu, man I always wanted a vistalite....I rode my bike all the way to Hereford to buy a clear visty snare, but it was sold.....a really sad day......

I know why RUSH keep all their old gear in their warehouse........sometimes.....sadly, you can`t buy it again......
Like Bubba's old Slingerland.
