We checked out the woman drummer in the opening ceremony for the Olympics. Her name is Dame Evelyn Glennie (a Scot). She's been deaf since age 11. Apparently very renown and guess what.......she drums BAREFOOT

She doesn't tour often to this side of the pond, but she does on occasion -- I had the chance to see her once in concert and she was incredible.

Yup. She played with our symphony about 4 years ago and was wonderful! Amazing woman! Do check her out.

I posted this the other day on Twitbook - But some friends and fans from Colombia South America - The bloke in the middle is a Heavy Metal Vocalist for a band who have just released their debut album, called Infernal Overkill, they are described as NWoCHM (New Wave of Colombian Heavy Metal)
