They have been re-branded and promoted - they are now Techs.

No, the guys who put stuff together are Techs, the guys who drive the trucks and move stuff are roadies...my cousin is married to one(but he doesn't work for Bubba and friends, that I know of),and he definitely is not a tech, by any means!

Thats OK then - I prefered Roadies as a job title anyway. I am sure Larry Allen started life out as a drum roadie, promoted over the years to Drum Tech, he may have even been a centre stage technician.
I was Bubba's Drum tech for years. He was always hitting me with a fly swatter while I was trying to set up his gong stand. All the other techs used to point and make fun but Bubba would give them the eagle glance of death and they would quickly resume thier assignments with a great fear and trembling.
Bubba was very nice too me most of the time except, once I fell asleep while changing the timpani head and he snuck up and pushed me in. And then put the timp head on! For hours I had to breath out of that darn little vent hole in the side of the drum. All night long it was boom boom boom boom boom boom (as he looked down and smiled) and it was a horible thing during Jacob's Ladder. And afterwards he left me in there for 2 nights. He fed me string cheese and gave me water by squirting me with a squirt gun through the little vent hole. It was great though. My ears rang like crazy for 2 weeks and I have an annoying twitch now.
I ended up running away that tour. I very quietly snuck out the bus door making sure that I didn't slam it. I made my daring escape into the foggy night. I became a hobo, traveling from city to city too hear my St. Ellwood play. And to this day, every time that they play Jacobs Ladder..............................

I've seen and enjoyed Blackadder, but it's on quite late(well early in the morning) on Saturday nights, and these days I'm asleep.
I always thought the Baldrick character was great!
