I saw that a couple weeks ago - and when it came out my wife said "New Harley or Single Malt Macallan......take your pick!".

Sometimes she just dont have a sense of humor.
Buying that bottle would be my divorce papers.Tongue The Missus would in all actuality shoot me in the ARSE for sure.Big Grin

In all seriousness one would have to be a Scotch junkie to buy a bottle of that brand...and have some VERY deep pockets to boot.

I wouldn't mind trying a dram tho.Wink
Well in my case....I can finance the Harley - the bottle of Macallan....probably not! I can only imagine what a wee dram would cost let alone...a case?? I dont know that my wife would shoot me. Just divorce me and take the Harley with.
I've said before that I've never tried the Macallan, but saw some interesting stuff yesterday whilst in a MASSIVE liquor store in Phoenix:

12 year old Macallan:$38.99
18 year old Macallan:$139.99
Macallan Cask Strength:$49.99
Macallan Fine Oak 10 year:$35.99
Macallan Fine Oak 15 year:$77.99
Macallan Fine Oak 17 year:$98.99
Macallan Fine Oak 21 year:$299.99
Macallan 25 year:$559.99

I had no idea there were so many varieties. I have their catalog (the massive liquor store) and price list. If you want to know about anything, let me know and I'll look it up. I think they had nearly any alcohol known to man!
Gunga , you rock! Those are pretty good prices 'best i can tell here on the coast. If your gonna drink decent booze ya got ta be willing to pay the price.
Boomer keeps beatin' us up about Jim Beam but... It does the job and doesn't
cost as much a the good stuff. Lord knows i love my Scotch, but sometimes you got to live within your budget.(ya know?)
My goodness. If I send you a shopping list can you pick me up some? Some of those prices are downright CHEAP! The 12 year up here is $55, vs $38....the 25 year they sell at $800, the 21 year is $649. I might have to make a booze run to Arizona!

YIKES! Feel free to A) send me a list with moolah, or B) come visit. You can stay here and we'll drive to Phoenix (2 1/2 hours) and stock up, come back up here, try some of this liquid gold out for size, and then send you on your way ____ days later Big Grin

DesertBear-Jim Beam prices:
Regular:$9.99
Black 8 year:$15.99
Devil's Cut:$15.99
Red Stag: $12.99
Choice:$10.99
Your plan has promise except for one eensty bitsy detail. Locking us up at the farm house for that many days (blank?) would only mean there wouldnt be any left to transport back! Not exactly sure how well I could function on the drive back though...

Who knows.....could be fun!
My hubby got me these chocolates today. They're about 1 1/4" tall. Cute little penguins with almond arms and white, milk, and dark chocolate mice with different ganache inside. They are probably the BEST chocolate I've ever eaten. Why did I put this in the Macallan thread??? Upon reading the leaflet describing all their wares, I found they have a Macallan chocolate! The description reads:
12 year old Macallan whiskey is added to this two layer interior of dark ganache and pistachio marzipan. Coated in dark chocolate and garnished with a pistachio.
Oh, Mama! I hope he got me those and hid them until Christmas!
