Awesome Brian that you verified the Hummingbird.

I considered the Cowbird-it had girth but the top of the head looked jay except he was a very light gray and white perhaps with some black or dark brown. I should have taken a photo.
I had a nice treat on today's run. A big buck ran across the path in front of me on the first part of my run and also had two Blue Jays dart across the path on the return half of my run.
VU - how about a Mockingbird?
SM - that's a great reward for making yourself do the 'right thing'.
Stay healthy my friends..
Do they resemble jays?
We've had several Snowy Owls sighted over on the seacoast in the past couple weeks. I'm heading over with binoculars. Hoping for a fly by like the CPT album cover. Happened once to me with a Great Horned Owl while standing in a field in heavy twilight. Utterly silent.
My annual New Years Day winter walk produced 5 turkeys, 1 deer, several songbirds, and a couple tufts of squirrel fur.
A nice, light, snowy day in NH. While looking out the window, a beautiful red fox walked though the back yard. I went out and tracked it in the fresh snow and found it curled up asleep beside the neighbors stone wall. Right place, right time.
Very cool BDub!!!
Very cool, Brian! We have foxes here, but I've never seen one. They're pretty elusive. This morning, I felt like I was in an Alfred Hitchcock movie. There were 73 mourning doves outside the kitchen window......yes, I counted them! Rolleyes
Gunga, sounds like your kitchen faces an Italian plaza. That was the first fox I've seen in a while.
