Santa really likes me!

For xmas I got a jar of Rootham Red Pepper Jelly and it's extraordinary!

Now, the stuff isn't cheap. A small jar like the one here is about $8, but DAMN is it ever good!

I have absolutely no idea how to make the stuff, but since I found it to be really good I'd thought I'd share.

The Amana Colonies here sell a similar type product, although its probably a bit tamer. Man is it EVER good! I get a jar of it once a year just to snack on. Some things you will pay extra for just for that teaser to the palatte!

Well, I tried looking in the Ball Blue Book, and another preserving book I use and no red pepper jelly recipes.
Jalapeno, yes, but not a red pepper.
Is it a sweet/hot/tangy combination?
Harry and David have a Pepper and Onion relish (jelly) that I adore. Mix it with cream cheese and dip corn chips into it, mmmmm!
