First of all, I wasn't quite sure where to put this so my apologies if it's in the wrong place.
It's been recommended to me to watch my salt intake. I guess this sort of thing happens when you turn 50. Anyway, this salt substitution was recommended to me and actually it's not bad. It's sort of like a Mrs Dash type of concoction.
Note that the ingredients are the dry kind, the type you'd find in the herb & spices aisle in the grocery store.
(BTW, for those like myself who are definition-challenged, tsp = teaspoon, tbsp = tablespoon)
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp basil
1/2 tsp white pepper
1 tsp thyme
1/4 tsp celery seed
1/4 tsp rosemary
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp garlic powder (not garlic salt)
1 tbsp dry mustard
Obviously, you can adjust for your personal taste. This goes GREAT on popcorn.
