Thank you... I've always loved anything she's done artwise. Some of her other pieces she blacksmithed. 1 is a jewelry box to hold her 1st set of earrings(Mrs.Potts teapot clip-ons) the other holds 1 of her baby teeth. I know weird, but when she asked if I still had them in a drawer I did amidt to "not getting around to throwing them out". After this weekend I'll post some of her other things.

I make little Tooth Fairy jars. I use small jars or tins, cover them in polymer clay and then put a glow-in-the-dark tooth (made out of the clay) and a fairy charm on the top. You can have the child put her tooth in it and then the "tooth fairy" takes that and replaces it with the money. Once all the baby teeth have come out, the jar can be used to store them.

You know, I really like this piece of art. I like the colors, the way it is setup and presented, and I have always liked the BMW emblem.
Years ago I worked next to a BMW mechanics shop, and they had several BMW junk parts cars on the lot. They let me take a BMW emblem off of one, it looked just like the one in your picture. I kept it for many years and eventually for fun put it on the grill of my riding lawnmower, which just happens to have blue body panels the same color as the emblem.

Is it right the BMW logo is supposed to represent a spinning propellor?
Correct NWo (you gottum bonus points for that one)

I thought so, although I don`t know of any planes powered by them. Mercedes Benz engines, yes, but not Bavarian Motor Works....(can I get a point for that too???)
I do recall a speech by Churchill after WW1 and close to WW2 where he is asking parliament what they think Germany is doing in Bavaria with separate factories for engines, airframes, etc and he asks The House, "Do they theink they are making Lager Beer, Leder Hosen or Sausages?"
You can see where Tim Curtiss and Ben Elton got their inspiration for Blackadder from.......
So the fuzzy box thing is what the Provost purchased and the other is one of her other pieces. My Daughter's senior show was on how small un-important items can be raised to have artistic value.
Her piece "Hunting with the In-laws" was chosen(as told to her by the Provost) that it had an organic feel and seemed to truly represent MI's U.P. and the status and importance that hunting means to the people who live there. We all were shocked that it was the piece choosen from the whole works of art in the gallery.
I want to share a little something that is published on a website called spaceweather.com. It is a website hosted by Dr Tony Phillips, and the site is used to publish interesting astronomical as well as meteorlogical and atmospheric information, including some neat images from around the world posted by everyday folks who make some rather neat observations. I thought I might share these in the interest of promoting photography and sharing images that were posted today.

Well I have to admit that looks really cool. You are very brave pointing the camera right at the sun, I would be afraid of frying something.

But I know you are into astronomy and the like, and know how to take photos like that. Good stuff.
