Ooooooo! That's cool!
Thank you all! I guess it's truly the Flight Of The Bumblebee

On this Memorial Day I wanted to post a few pictures that I took last summer at a World War II reenactment event in Indiana. This event was put on in honor of the Veterans and for all those who have fought and fallen. May we remember them all and what they have done for us on this day.

Hi Rey - I have always admired your photography - and especially your re-enactment one`s, as although I know they are modern shots of a by-gone time, I am hard pushed to see it.
Great work mate - and I look forward to seeing the photos from this weekend mate!
If a person didn't know better, they'd probably believe that these were taken waaaay back then. Very good shots, and appropriate for today.
Thank you Rey - for the pictures and the reminder of what today is. I am thankful for those who came before me and those who will follow, and hope we never have to lose our men and women in combat again. I just came back from my Memorial Day run on my Harley, and saw two soldiers - boys literally - packing up to head off to Fort Knox then off to the Sandbox. These two young men deserve the respect and admiration of us all.

Amen to that, Boomer!
Passing through Atlanta (twice) I saw the usual ingress and egress of soldiers, marines, sailors and Air Force personnel.
You can always spot the ones returning home. I salute them, or if they are very young, I will simply nod and say "gentlemen" or "ma'am" if I happen to catch their eye when I pass them.
Delta does acknowledge their service upon arrival and departure.
