I say avoid white. We have white - and I can just look at it and it changes from white to dirty in 0.2 seconds.

I have a little inside story on color names.....
I worked for a paint company a looooonnnnngggg time ago, and I was told that when they change the color palets (the main one that happens every ten years) the muckity-mucks gather in a conference room with the new colors on great big sample cards.....and a whole lotta booze.
Then they flip a color card on the table and start drinking.
Settle on a name, flip another card on the table, open another bottle....
Those were the days!

There was an infamous purple house on the south side of town. Every time the neighbors complained or the city cited the guy for building code violations, he added onto, or created something else in the yard for people to complain about. He had additions on the house, vines on the fences, flowers painted everywhere. Talk about protesting the powers that be.
After he died, the place was sold and torn down. There can only be one purple house with that reputation in this county.

Mine is(gasp) White.
However, I plan to get rid of as much of the grass out front as possible. Several of the houses in this area has a flower garden out front, and stone walking paths. That is my goal! It is so beautiful!
But we'll see what I can afford to do.
