Brrr....Nettie I hope there will be plenty of hot soup tonight. The weather is getting a bit brisk and we are trying to hold out for as long as we can in the 2Beers household before we have to turn on our furnace.
Ha ha! I used to think that way too...but too many miserable cold mornings saying why am I doing this? So I gave in and turned it on weeks ago, you know the routine, go down and change the filter, turn it on and it always stinks for a while at first...
We've had our furnace on for the past week, in between fires in FP, but it's still hard to get up in the mornings!

About that soup 2beers...I'm in! I was inspired by that Cambell's commercial about what to do to spice up plain white rice, and they dump a can of their 'Chunky Beef' on it. I guess that'd work, but why not kick it up a notch (BAM!), and go with some "dirty rice" with lots of hot sauce and a dusting of cayenne?!<stomach growls!>
A thick Bloody Mary if you will! Plenty of horseradish and run it through the garden! Top it with some poached prawns (Mary and the boys if you will!)
My furnace has been on for a couple of weeks.
There's beef stew in the Nesco in the kitchen, how's that for a cold weather meal?
I just rub lots of Ben-Gay all over my body to stay warm. It's gonna be a Gay winter folks!
