Thanks 2B. Hugs back at ya'...Blush
I should mention, hubby and I have heard that we made the short list for a pair of girls (10, 8).
We should know if we go to comittee after the 15th, the girl's case worker is on vacation right now.
If we are picked for comittee we get the in-depth info on the girls and their parent profile/background info.
If it doesn't scare the begesus out of us, we stay in and see what happens. If its over our head we get out.

Hard time swallowing this morning, is there any tea?
Wow, HWG, that's a tough one. So many lives are being impacted with your choice-including your own. I pray that God guides you and gives you wisdom for your decision.
My younger sister gave up a baby for adoption when she was 16 years old. A cop adopted him. You'd think "good", but the cop took the boy on crime sprees with him. He finally got caught with the boy in tow and was hauled off to jail where he died of a heart attack. Long story short, the boy (now 40) and my sister reconnected after the adoptive mom died. The boy has a great wife and 2 beautiful daughters. He is a wonderful person with a huge heart. I'm so proud of him. It could have turned out so differently......
I so totally respect you and your husband for adopting. You'll be great parents!
Kudos to you & hubby HWG! My sister & bro-in-law adopted their son 7 years ago, as a new-born, and he made their lives complete! Sad sidenote though...the "original" baby they were due to adopt 6 months prior.
Billie and I were down there a month or two before she was due, and Billie asked my sister if she had requested the mother be drug tested. The week after we left, she did, and the "Mother" sure enough came up positive on multiple counts.
Anyway, there is no way to describe the joy that little guy has brought into their lives since, and he's fun to spoil! (I bought him a little 'First Act' drumkit when he was 3!)
*Prayers up for you HWG!*

Takes a lot of determination to want to step in and take these children on. Whether you actuallly get to that point depends on you and Mr Hwg. At the very least just considering these kids is pretty awesome but will be praying for those wisdom angels to give you the tools you need to make the RIGHT decision.
Kudos to you HWG for stepping up and taking in children most people won't give a second glance. You are a wonderful person and anyone of the children you adopt will have a second chance at life and unconditional love. Best of luck finding a match that fits you and your hubby.
I'm just catching up. Wow!!
Please keep us posted HWG!! You & Hubby will be awesome parents!
Bartender, get Mr. & Mrs. HWG a drink on me, and I'll have the usual...hair of the dog tall Burgundy with a Bud Light chaser! Any popcorn or nuts left?
The only nuts here are...never mind.

Popcorn ...let me see...oh yeah, there's caramel corn, cheese corn, air popped...help yourself!
I resemble that nettie!

We have caramel corn? Owww my favorite.
Thanks N'awlins, I'll go easy on you and ask for a hot cider...
Caramel Corn?
Mmmmm, a bowl of that and a hot cider sound sooo good tonight....

Got through my first day in a new store today.
Working in Billings, MT for the next few weeks. The good part is its my last project for the year, I'm taking the rest of the year off.
The bad news is I'll miss Thanksgiving. I should be driving home that day...ah, well. At least there should be some leftovers.

Hey N'awlins, don't you live in the Spokane area?
I drove through there on my way out to Billings, depending on what day I come back, you wanna catch a bite to eat or somethin'?
I'd love to meet Mrs N'awlins too, if you guys are around...
