Tinker toys, my dad used to curse the tinker toys.

Anyone remember a light-based set up,(not Light Bright) that had numerous clear, Lexan solid tubes that you could attache with small connectors? It had domes and half-domes and all sorts of neat shapes that you could build with from the base. The base lights up and it had a wheel that you turned that changed the color of the structures as the light flowed through it.

My Aunts got me as a set birthday gift when I was 5 or 6. They were a clear baby pink color with the material/cotton string. Oh, the damage they can do when you let them go .
I think I still have them tucked away somewhere. The clackers have a few chips in them and the string is forever twisted and gnarled.

Twisted and gnarled? You mean...nevermind...OMG I had about 8 of those. Kept thwacking either me or my brother in the head. I still remember one time mom had to take him to the ER. Man was she mad...but then came fish hooks and casting. Another time perhaps.

We we not allowed to have them at home, and they were banned at school.
