I have a Doctor Who fan in the family, and back when Tom Baker was Doctor Who, it was rather funny, but now I just can't stand it.
How many times are the Daleks going to invade? How many times is the Tardis going to malfunction? What cute newbie doc is going to turn up on Masterpiece Theatre next week, or "All creatures, Great and Small?".
Besides, how do they explain the fact that there were only 10 doctors, a long time ago, and now there are more?
See, I know of Doctor Who, watched Doctor Who, and have had Doctor Who explained to me.

There are 11 Doctors because he can regenerate. Which was pretty sly of the original writers, IMO. It really saves having to come up with reasons why he looks different. I love the new Doctor - Matt Smith - but I loved the one before him, too (David Tennant). I like them all, really, even the cheesy 60s ones. But I do know that not everyone loves the Doctor like I do, so I won't mention him very often. Fair enough?

Regeneration? Wow. I just liked the old ones. I stopped watching with the 10th doctor. I have also heard from others about David Tennant
