The only proper therapy would be to post the entire email here so that all can read and comment on it. Angel

^ this^ That might be fun!

Hey nettie, I have an idea of what you can do with those letters... gather them together in a book and call it, "My Stupid Ex." Wink

or call it "When your OCD is out of control".

Rey, he's just trying to woo me back by pretending to care about my family, when he could not stand spending time with them. He's such an idiot.
Im having some real problems with nettie using the word "wooing" here. He either needed to commit - or be committed. 'Nuff said. No wooing though...thats just....wrong!
No doubt he may realize what a fool he had been. Hindsight is 20/20-now he's alone and remembers all the good stuff but the damage is done.

My parents split when I was 9. Dad thought he'd have a better life with a cocktail waitress he worked with. In essence gave up on mom and us. Though he visited and called periodically it wasn't the same. there was hurt all around. He later admitted that he had made a big mistake but it was too late.

I call it "the gift that keeps on giving" because now that I'm an adult, it still creates awkwardness.

For example, he recently expressed sensitivity over the fact that his grandkids down in Florida where he lives (not only did he leave-he left the state!) call him all the time and my kids don't.

Oh, what I really wanted to say!

I explained that they see him all the time in FL. they grew up with him in the day to day. he babysat them, spent quality time with them.

My kids got the occasional card, phone call or yearly visit. How can they feel as close?

No clue.
I went with the 15 Year old oak. I am taking my first sip as I write this. Hold on.....I think I'm in love! That is very good indeed. Thinking back to the Three Stooges episode I saw recently in which they were mistaken for Scottish distillers during Prohibition. When asked where he was from Curly replied, "Loch Jaw." LOL Love the Stooges! I am going to sit back and savor my two fingers of this fine stuff. Cheers! (Reminding myself of the importance of moderation.)

naw, he had his chance to commit.
all done with him, except for his family, which I always liked.
They are going through some rough stuff, and that's the only reason I'm still in contact with him.

Raoul, Mr.2Beers says if you enjoyed the 15yr. then you might want to search out and find the Cast Strength Macallan to add to your cellar. He's gotten Boomer spoiled on that and the 18yr.
Gotten me spoiled is an understatement! That schtuff is freakin AWESOME!

You cannot go wrong if it says Macallan on it, but I say the same thing about Balvenie too.
I went with the Fine Oak 15. All I can say is WOW.
