Would you mind if my youngest daughter came in the bar tonight, and if we sit quietly in the corner could she have a small galss of cider??
Looks as though she has been dumped by her boyfriend of 8 months, and is heartbroken........at 15 years she thinks that is that, "goodbye to romance" (as the great Ozzy would say).
This is a family place in the afternoons...go right ahead.
as long as it isn't hard cider
I'll be on the back patio for a bit. I've been cleaning this and that today and need a rest before I go back and finish up.
8 months? Whoa...that's a lifetime to a 15 yr old!!! Poor girl!

Someone pass her a double Grape Nee-hi!
Yeah - loads of tears, and now she seems in shock. She got the famous Facebook message, "U R Dumped"
Oh that is just obnoxious! What a coward - she's better off without him. Yes, I know you can't tell a 15-year-old that. Give her hugs from her B&G Aunties who have all been there and remember how it feels.
Will do. Facebook now set to "Single".......apparently there is not an "open to offers" setting.

She shouldn't be open to offers at her age anyway.
(But yes, all of us girls here have gone through that more times than enough....)
Meanwhile, I'm just going to crawl back to a corner table, with my bottle of Bunnahabhain, a cupcake with a candle on it, and a box of tissues. If anyone's looking for me, I'm not here....
Oh NWo, tell her chin up it will be ok and there is someone who will truly adore her.
KBB if you need to talk we will be here. I got you a box of the nice Kleenex with that don't leave paper fuzz on your face.
Coffee is brewing and cream cheese coffeecake, fresh strawberries, blackberries, cherries and watermelon are on the Bar.
Mmmm thanks 2Beers! I need FOOD right now. Little Dale had us up most of the night off and on with a tummy ache again. His mommy had a little skin surgery Wednesday so grandpa and grandma are trying to step in.
Berries and cheesecake are just the ticket!!

I have a feeling KBB, that one of the reasons she was dumped was because the relationship was not "progressing" at the speed the boy wanted it to. She was under pressure to go beyond "first base", (quick edit - I am presuming my understanding of first base is kissing and holding hands etc??) and feeling uncomfortable with that refused.......and was dumped.
Well, I feel your pain as a father. Since I have TWO girls who have gotten that infamous message. She stuck to her guns, and thats as it should be. I was unaware we are still using the bases yardstick to gauge those activities. I must be an old geezer if thats the case.
