To start off, let me just say that because of my food allergies, eating out is not the pleasure it used to be. I used to try all kinds of food, and now I have to research the menu before I can go to a place to eat.
So my sister chose this place for her birthday dinner and I looked at the menu online. To my dismay, it looked like there wasn't anything on the menu that I could order without major changes. So I sent an email off, and hoped that they would reply before we had to go to the restaurant.
I should have known it was a great place to go when I actually got an email back from them telling me what dinner items I could
order that would be safe for me to eat. They not only recommended 1 dish, but 5! That never happens.
One of the dishes that they recommended was was Chicken pasta primavera. It usually contains goat cheese, but they said they could make it without the cheese. I just had to order this.
I haven't had pasta in a restaurant in a long time because pasta usually equals cheese,and multiple types, and it's an allergy of course.
It was wonderful!
Fresh seasonings, perfectly cooked, and they took 4 bucks off of the price because it didn't have the cheese on it.
The service was great too. The waiter greeted us upon arrival, got our drinks right away, and did what great waiters do, without imposing on our conversation.
I can't wait to go back and try something else on that list they sent me!
They have two locations here in the Milwaukee area. The prices aren't bad(30 bucks with tip for my dinner, a salad, and a beverage), and service is as good as it ever gets("cruise quality" as my friends would say).
