Rey-my husband really enjoys your reenactments, as do I! When I showed him the Tiger, he immediately said it wasn't a real Tiger because the real one had 24" tracks and snorkels on the rear (his Dad was a tank man-or whatever you call them-for Germany in WWII). Nevertheless, he loved it all and said how much fun it would be to do the reenactments. Good stuff, Rey!
Hey Boomski, have you had a chance to look over that manual and blueprint? I'm curious as to what someone who knows what they're looking at thinks. Wink
Hey Boom (or anyone interested). this will give you an idea of how much fun D-Day Oklahoma is. 3,000+ players.
These are not our guys, but they ran with us last year and they are animals. We liked them right away! I think they are Brits, Aussies and Kiwis.
Sorta boring up to around the 3 min mark, then this guy shows what these guns will do, even capped at 15BPS (they will do 25-30)
Big fun!

I'd love to try it some day...but my knees just struggle sometimes. That looks like a total BLAST though. Literally!
What a great weekend I just had. Ever have one of those weekends where everything was just amazing, with all the experiences replaying and buzzing through your head as you try to get to sleep on Sunday night?

Here I am sabotaging the tracks as a German troop train approaches (I am the one the right). The engineer on the train spotted us, stopped it in time, and a dozen German troops began to pour off the train, loading their rifles. Uh oh. We scattered into the weeds, running as fast as we could, trying to find some cover. The troops opened fire, and I tried to shoot back with my measly P38 pistol, but in vain.

I lost sight of my two friends as they staggered into a swamp. I continued to fire my pistol at the Germans until the clip was empty. But I was trapped and there was nowhere left to run, there were just too many of them. The only thing I could do to survive was to raise my hands and surrender. They grabbed my gun, roughed me up a bit, and dragged me onto the train.

I wonder what they have in store for me now...
Nice one Rey - is this going to be up on your blog later?

(If I can remember the url that is).

No nothing over there, for now just the photos and a short description here in my favorite thread, although I might add to it some more, as it was quite a weekend. Also I am busily preparing for the next event where I am to have a more major role, and they are threatening to have the "press" there, newspapers taking pictures, possibly even television news, and this is terrifying to me!

Wow, that is a lot of information you observed from one little itty bitty avatar photo. How you could of possibly have known all that, could it be...that Monica took the photo? Yes? Lets give credit where credit is due, I'm pretty sure that fabulous picture was taken by none other than Monica herself. Sleepy
