It's amazing what you can deal with when your back is up against the wall. Having all you folks here to fall back on certainly helps also. And as Freddy used to say "It Is What It Is"

Have a great weekend everybody.....

Screw caps are great when you're camping. You guys have a great weekend also...
Keeping good thoughts going your way, glad to hear round 2 is doing well. I got all fingers and toes crossed. Big Grin
Hey guys! Good to hear round two is going better than round one. And that you're ready for Halloween too! We have it kinda lucky in that we just drop off a bag of candy down in the lobby and we can hand out candy to the youngest set early in the evening and take off and leave the duties to others in the building.

I saw on another board I frequent that they had at their house, over 1100 trick or treaters that night. Can you imagine?

Well they shot me up with gamma radiation over the last two days for a heart test so you get special Atomic Strength Mojo sent today. Wink
I do hope Monica is coping as well as can be expected and you Steve, are staying strong for her.

Laura and I will head out tomorrow to see some fall colours and hope to report with some pictures of the seasons change round our neck of the woods. Hope you get a chance to get out and have a good look around at all the colours happening. I find it the most beautiful time of year myself.

Best,
Allister.

Thanks smoker guy for your positive thoughts. It's nice to know that we have so many people like you in our corner....
Here's hoping the last leg of round two is a good one for Monica, keep the vino flowin' and the B&G flag blowin', much hugs and strength your way this week!
Just wanted to check in and give some positive ju-ju! Hope you guys have a great week and tell Monica to keep up the good work! Bear.

I thought I would bring you a picture. I quite like this one that I found while out at High Park here in Toronto. I find the contrast of light and colours to be a pleasant happenstance this far into Autumn. There were of course other shots of merit, but I thought none had this much cache so I chose this one.

Now this, my dear Monica, if I may be so forward, is a memorial to Larissa Kosach. This is in fact her pen name as she was an author and poet in the Ukraine and remains a central figure in Ukrainian literature. Her real name is Lesya Ukrainka. Among her works that I have just begun to read is a lovely little poem I thought you might enjoy.

From Hope by Larissa Kosach:

In Childhood, Mother Nature, I climbed into your lap.
my joys and sorrows poured into your ear,
with all my soul I called to you Mother dear,
and folded hands in gratitude mayhap.

Within my heart you woke the spark divine,
and hope, when my first song winged into flight,
became my guiding star, and by it's light,
the good people shall I seek to find.

But when I feel hope's flame is sinking low,
then dearest Mother Nature come and take,
this little heart of mine about to break,
and drop a new spark there to leap and grow.

Thinking of you two.
