Hey Monica & Steve!...just checking in to let you know we're thinking of you, and hoping everything is still on the "up and up"!(read: positive thoughts working?)

Too bad you guys are coming through Spokane so late at night on the 8th. The Amtrak station sits right in the middle of town where most all the good bars and restaurants are, so if you happen to be up and looking out your window at that time and see a goofy gray-haired guy staggering along the sidewalk waving, that'd be me!

My gosh that sounds just like me. That's usually my job here in Kelowna. Nice to see I have an equivalent in Spokane.
From what I understand N'awlins, one part of the train starts out from Portland and another part starts out from Seattle (where we get on) and they put both sections together in Spokane for the long trip east.
I'll be looking for ya, just have to make sure I'm not looking in the mirror first

It's been awhile since I've checked-in here, but have been thinking of you both and pray for you often! We are going through a tough cancer battle in our family here as well, so I have some idea of what you are dealing with, and it ain't fun! Monica's strength and perseverance is such an encouragement...I wish I could go to Wisconsin and give you both hugs in-person!!!

Its been awhile since I checked in too but I'm so glad to hear things are going alright!! I've been thinking of you. HUGS!

She's off for chest x-rays today to see what's going on, as she has tumours in both of her lungs.
Poor kid is getting pretty beat up, but she's still fighting.
