You're right KBB - Jarome or is it Jerome seems like a really nice down to earth guy.. My buddy's daughter works at the post office out there and said that when he comes in he is always so pleasant and would take the time to shoot the breeze with her. I think she still has a bit of a crush on him....

Hi Guys, haven't been on for a while, just wanted to pop in and send some good thoughts and support your way!
Hi S & M. Just wanted to let you know that you've been on my mind and in my heart. I'm looking forward to visiting soon. Myself, my bro and sisters have been dealing with all the sad and mundane things that need to be taken care of since Mom passed. I was able to make it back to North Bay for Mom's funeral and I had the honor of giving "Miss Vickie's" eulogy. But I had to hasten back to The Fart 'cause Georgia and I were moving to a new place. We've moved "to" and are now in the process of moving "in". I heard from my bro this morning. He and my sister had completed all the prepping of Mom's house and had put it on the market yesterday. Thery had a bite an hour later and today they came back with an offer at full price and a occupy date of August 1st.
This is just a very longwinded way of telling you that once my bro lets me know when he needs me in North Bay to clean out the house for the new occupants and do all the legal stuff that goes with settling an estate then I will have a good idea when I can swing your way, Monica's shedule depending of course..... Phew!
I thought of you again this morning while reading my new favorite cook book, "The Art of Living According to Joe Beef". He talks about a special trip he makes each year to Keremeos in the Similkameen Valley where he picks up the best Russian garlic from a farm owned by a guy named Yuri and his wife... Russian garlic? Yuri? We'll have to do a little day trip down there if you're up for it! I think about you every day and can't wait to see youse. I'll keep you posted. BOX

I'm sure it must be a tough time for your family right now and would like to wish you much strength and best wishes to get through this dark period and on to better days ahead.
Good to see the house sold so fast, but I'm sure it would have been nice if it would have taken a little longer so that you could've caught your breath (can't plan these things I guess).
"Juri The Russian Garlic Guy" We so have to go to Keremeos to check this place out. It's a nice little day trip from Kelowna down there and a beautiful drive as well. It's also a great way to get to Vancouver from here, along Highway 3, without the craziness and all the stupid stuff that happens on the Coquihalla. (just a little more laid back). If we're in Keremeos we have to go the extra 25 klicks or so to Hedley and check out Doug's Homestead. A little butcher shop/deli that do all their own bacon sausages, jerky, pepperoni, etc. If you like meat, it's the place to go...
