Everyone is probably tired of seeing leftovers from the holidays, but you don't want waste good food, when you expected a lot of people who don't show up!
What is your creative way to deal with this BESIDES eating it for your work lunch for the next few days/week?
I know my sister, Nettiesaur is looking at her fridge this morning and saying..."um, yeah...i got a lot of stuff...".
I won't have to cook all week!

Geez - you had enough food last night to feed two armies!
I gave some leftovers away to the siblings and Mom. I'll freeze some stuff(meat, rolls) for my niece's baby shower. My sister will take the desserts and candy to work tomorrow, so that stuff will be gone.
If you think I had a lot of food, you should see the tables at our family reunion. Sheesh! 3 or 4 tables like that!
Goodness. BTW - that hot german potato salad was awesome! All the food was great!

The potato salad is Mom's specialty. We've all tried, but no one can make it like Mom makes it!
Mary makes it here...and the whole house smells just awesome when she makes it!
German potato salad is not that hard to make. Its the vinegar and sugar in it along with the bacon fat that makes it what it is

Yes, but the proper proportions, timing, and Mom's extra touch cannot be replicated

Yes, but Mom also uses BOILED russet potatoes, not those mamby-pamby ones in a can that are already precooked and sliced. That's what gives them the depth. The starchier the potato the better, I guess.
