My!

The new, re-mixed (by Steven Wilson of Porcupine Tree) ELP titles "ELP" and "Tarkus." Amazing stuff! If I didn't already know that Steven Wilson was The Man for progressive rock re-mixes because of the King Crimson I'd be convinced now.
Geoff Tate's ~ former Queensryche vocalist ~ Kings and Thieves.

A good straight forward rock album, like Queensryche's last studio record
Dedicated to Chaos, that is a far deviation from the norm of what would
be typical Queensryche music.
But hey,,,
I likes it Big Grin

For anyone interested in hearing the one of the more "pop" tunes from the disc,
here is the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qIVWKlUvvBU
Mal - I remember hearing, "Is There Anybody Listening" for the first time. Blown away at the vocals and odd changes.

I saw them on their first tour and I thought~ hmmm,,, Progressive Metal?
Some of the things they did on that first album reminded me of one of
our other favorite groups, who shall remain nameless ( Big Grin ) , and I felt
that if that group were to play heavy metal, they might just sound
something like Queensryche. Their drummer, for instance, had a giant
set of tubular bells that he used on a particular song.
Scott Rockenfield (that him?) The one that I saw interviewed had chains as stands and booms and such - chromed, of course.
The question was asked if he and the bassist wrote everything out, or just left it to chance.
The reply was, "We leaving nothing to chance. Nothing."
Imagine Dragons ... As I extricate us out from under 12+ inches of the white stuff.

That's funny,,, but apparently true as they have given Geoff Tate
the boot. Too bad, another old band with a new singer. It never is
the same with a new voice and different look. Oh well,,,
