In the Dream Theatre concert at this moment. I don't know any of their music but my brother and his best friend love them. They are great! I admire their musicianship. My brother's friend is a "founders' member." I had back of the room standing only. He bumped me up stage side! Best seats! How does this stuff happen to me?!

Playing a tune "On the Backs of Angels." No doubt inspired or ripped off by another prog rock band! Even the imagery of the video denotes a mechanical cog theme. Hmmmm.

Now I'm listening to a Xanadu rip off! LOL! I can't believe it!
Now the band "fighting a dragon" video- are you kidding me?
The singer has some voice though...
Thanks, VU...I'll check him out.

Let me know how you make out!

...and what you think of it; a few good listens are necessary as with any prog band...

I sent an email through his site. And yes, the first album needed a few plays due to the complexity. I don't mind putting in the time. Some of my favorite albums have been that way. That polka trio we all like is that way sometimes...but good, complex music rewards those that do the work, yes?
I agree completely, though the last two "records" S&N Polka and Workclock Polka got me on the first listen!
For me it is the new, Steven Wilson re-mix of "The Yes Album" by Yes. Stunning!
Im diggin the new one from Sevendust "Time Travelers & Bonfires". Its an acoustic work for the most part including a few choices cuts like "Black". A superb work imho.
Tonight I'm listening to my trio of Thin Lizzy works: Vagabonds of The Western World, Jailbreak, and Johnny The Fox. Big Grin
Steely Dan- The Royal Scam
