I'll be starting this this Saturday/Sunday. A model of the Ducati 916 Sport bike. This is my first attempt at building a motorcycle model, and as the title says it will be a gift. Wish me luck.

Cool model SG! Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't (isn't) the Ducati 916 the, or one of the, fastest production bikes made? Sure looks sweet, but be careful with the "cables"...I tried building a Harley 1200 Sportster one time, and had gotten to putting on the cables, which were really just thin plastic tubing, when my ex-girfiends' kid got hold of it and destroyed it! (Prob'ly why I never had any kids!)

He ended up selling his 916. If l remember correctly, he said it was scary fast. His was red as this one will be.

I`ll try to have fun CD, It is definitely going to be a chore. There are a LOT of pieces. There are a bunch of motorcycle models out, but sadly no Adventure/ Dual-Sport models. I`ve looked looooong and hard for one to no avail. Nothing but Cruisers and Sport Bikes. I dive in on Saturday with this, and start the whole process off by washing the model and stripping any chrome plated parts. It`ll be a better living thru chemistry weekend.
That's cool SG! My husband has done that model along with several F1 cars that have absolutely incredible detail. Nice hobby and very nice present!
