Recently I have been teaching the odd class at the local college, and back to school myself too (where much of my free online time has been focused!). Travels lately have taken us to Arizona, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Kentucky. For some reason we seem to make time to track down Sandhill cranes. I'm still out there hugging trees, squinting at stars, or focusing my binoculars too late on a bird that's flying away. I've been told I do a pretty fair imitation of a cicada song - but that all of my other animal calls sound alike.
