The BEST freeking fried clams EVER! it's on High St. (rte 1A) in Ipswich. Yes, it's a LOOOOONG wait to order, but sooooo worth it. Yesterday afternoon, we waited almost 2 hours to order, then another 25 minutes to get our food. The portions are enormous. The 'regular' meal (choice of whole clams, clam strips or scallops) comes with 2 sides and a roll is enough for 2 meals. Skip the fries (typical frozen chain style fries) and get the hand-cut, battered onion rings and make sure to grab extra homemade tartar sauce. Prices are kinda high ($20 for the whole clams meal), but the seafood is fresh and local. If anyone wants to make the trek, I would highly suggest calling in your order about a half hour before you plan on arriving. Oh yeah and it's cash only.
