I was reminded today of a childhood favorite; The Seven Faces Of Dr. Lao. It's an old George Pal movie that stars Tony Randall (yes, that Tony Randall) as the proprietor of a very odd circus. He plays all of the characters at the circus, which won William Tuttle and honorary Oscar for make-up. It's a simple but sweet film with a beautiful message. This little speech that Dr. Lao gives to the little boy has stayed with me for 45 years and it still makes me tear up:

It has a great blend of comedy and poignancy. I just love it Angel

The wife and I watched a 32 year old classic tonight...don't laugh at this, Flash ahh AHH Gordon. I and the Missus love this Campy classic film. I have gotta get it on DVD/Blu-Ray for sure.Big Grin

I just finished watching another 80`s classic...Legend. I have always been a fan of this film, even though it was never a box office hit. I was always into movies like this...just a big ol geek I guess. Wink

Love the emoticon Scythe! Funny, I got to thinking about you and the Ren Man this weekend when "Creepshow" came on!...Talk about 'campy'?! ("Metor Sh!t!")...but still a classic! If memory serves me correctly, that was one of those movies my buddy and I also "prepared" ouselves for out in the car! The other was 'Heavy Metal' when it came out. Our other friend was the Manager of the twin cinemas during high school, so he would kinda' look the other way if we happened to forget the two quarts of beer stuffed in our jackets, or the cloud of smoke coming from the back rows!Angel

Nawlins, we did the same for Heavy Metal and possibly for Creepshow, too, I can't remember.... Wink

I had a friend who worked at the theater where Star Wars was playing when it first came out. It sure is great to have a pal who will let you in for free, isn't it?
