RE: Favourite Films - MAL_ONE - 02-27-2012 12:01 PM The Count of Monte Cristo,,, both the old and the new version. This timeless classic was superbly remade with actor Jim Caviezel. The wife and I watch it periodically when we're in the mood for a good quality flick when there isn't much else on the tele. Anyone catch the Oscars? I was "in and out." Didn't see any in the theater but would consider renting a DVD. Did watch the Oscars. Hugo was an excellent movie, another one thoroughly enjoyed by the wife and I; we plan on purchasing it upon its' release. We also bought the book, which is a piece of art in itself. RE: Favourite Films - VincentUlyssis - 02-27-2012 06:54 PM What's the premise? It's tempting me. RE: Favourite Films - Azooper - 02-27-2012 07:01 PM One movie comes to mind where the second in the series is the best, I was stationed in Germany when Alien came out. I was terrified beyond belief. Then when Aliens came out, what can I say, that was the best that I have seen. I love good SiFi. I dont care for horror flicks like, The Saw, or Halloween movies. Alien Vs Predator was pretty corny too. Anyone know of more good SiFi movies that will scare the crap out of me? I really enjoy The Walking Dead. I didnt even catch the first season until a few months ago. That got all the little hairs to stand up. RE: Favourite Films - MAL_ONE - 02-27-2012 07:23 PM (02-27-2012 06:54 PM)VincentUlyssis Wrote: What's the premise? It's tempting me. I'm going to have to check it out now. You get a +1 because it takes a lot for me to really want to see a film. Bought the book for my son a couple of years ago. My daughter is now reading the book. We have to watch the movie this week. RE: Favourite Films - Boomer - 02-28-2012 07:29 AM I hate to plug for anything, especially movies, but last Friday took Mrs B to see "Act of Valor", a movie made about SEAL teams, by SEAL teams, something I am a bit familiar with (but thats another story!). Probably one of the better movies I've seen if you have that warrior mentality. Not one dry eye in the theatre though....including mine! |
