I was terrified beyond belief. Then when Aliens came out, what can I say, that was the best that I have seen. I love good SiFi. I dont care for horror flicks like, The Saw, or Halloween movies. Alien Vs Predator was pretty corny too. Anyone know of more good SiFi movies that will scare the crap out of me? I really enjoy The Walking Dead. I didnt even catch the first season until a few months ago. Did you know that Ridley Scott has a prequel to Alien coming out soon? It's called Prometheus and it's about the derelict ship that the crew found in Alien. Looks scary as heck! RE: Favourite Films - Mufasa - 02-28-2012 08:15 PM Saw that in previews Scythe. I saw the top shot of the ship and said: "ALIEN SHIP!! THAT'S THE ALIEN 1 SHIP!!" RE: Favourite Films - Scythe Matters - 02-29-2012 04:19 AM Looks good, doesn't it? RE: Favourite Films - osage59 - 02-29-2012 11:32 AM I just downloaded The Shore - a 30 minute film created by a father/daughter team from No. Ireland that won the Oscar the other night for short films. It was quite good! http://theshorefilm.com/ RE: Favourite Films - MAL_ONE - 02-29-2012 12:10 PM (02-27-2012 08:02 PM)VincentUlyssis Wrote:(02-27-2012 07:23 PM)MAL_ONE Wrote:(02-27-2012 06:54 PM)VincentUlyssis Wrote: What's the premise? It's tempting me. Many thanks for the +1; being held captive by the 0 for so long, I never thought I could break free. I am now content to being # 1.
RE: Favourite Films - VincentUlyssis - 03-01-2012 06:15 AM Surprised no one else got to you first! RE: Favourite Films - MAL_ONE - 03-01-2012 01:28 PM Well there ya go; someone went and did it. They quickly turned me into a number two, don't even want to rest on those connotations. Quickly, I so kindly ask, push me to a three or else I may,,,,,,,, oh never mind. RE: Favourite Films - smoker guy - 03-04-2012 12:35 AM Tonight`s feature is a GREAT classic, Spencer Tracy in...The Old Man And The Sea. Is it weird that this movie brings me back to 9th grade English/Literature class? This was my 1st Hemingway book...and sadly his last. Ahh well, what a legacy he left us, the greats shall always live on. I must add that Spencer Tracy`s performaNce was top notch as well as Felipe Pazos as the boy. ;D
RE: Favourite Films - Scythe Matters - 03-04-2012 03:01 AM Tonight I watched a show about the making of Jaws, one of my very favorite films! I knew some of the stuff - the shark is not working! - but I learned a few things. Robert Shaw did 2 takes of his Indianapolis story: one sloshed and one sober. They used some from both and they blend so seamlessly that you can't even tell which was which. Also *spoiler alert* Hooper was supposed to be shark food (as in the book) but the 2nd unit, who was shooting real great whites Down Under, got some amazing footage of a GW destroying their small cage (small to make the shark look bigger) with nobody in it. The footage was too great to not use so they let Hooper live. The Blu-Ray is coming out this summer. I am definitely getting this one! RE: Favourite Films - Phillip - 03-04-2012 08:12 PM I saw the same the show "The Making of Jaws". You need to see how "Animal House " was made. You be amazed how they made through making of that movie. I watched J. Edgar last night. It was ok but I wanted to see his files on everybody. |
