There were a few times where I cried because here was an autistic woman able to function (in her own way) in the real world. Anytime there was a scene with the mother or the aunt having to deal with one of her meltdowns or even that meeting with the doctor who diagnosed her, I would either cry or smile because I could really identify with those situations. That is a movie I'd like to own. RE: Favourite Films - VincentUlyssis - 12-01-2010 08:05 PM Did you google her? She's everywhere. "Good Will Hunting" was a nice overcoming film as well. I saw it recently again and I call it a modern classic. RE: Favourite Films - Bageleth - 12-01-2010 08:11 PM I have Googled her. She's truly amazing. She came to my town a few months ago and gave a lecture at the university here in town, talking about animal husbandry and also autism. I wanted to go, but I had other plans already for that evening. I'll have to add "Good Will Hunting" to my Netflix list as I haven't seen that yet. One that I do own that I really liked was "A Beautiful Mind". RE: Favourite Films - Neilbubbachuck - 12-02-2010 03:41 PM Facing the Giants and Fire Proof were great. The Book of Eli was incredible! I saw that film 4 times. It had everything in that movie that I love. Forrest Forrest Gump. "those are beautiful shoes". And I just saw unstoppable ! Wow! Forrest Gump, while fairly predictable, is a classic. Still gets me a lump in the throat for certain scenes. RE: Favourite Films - Neilbubbachuck - 12-02-2010 07:17 PM Your momma sure does love you RE: Favourite Films - Bageleth - 12-02-2010 07:21 PM LOL RE: Favourite Films - VincentUlyssis - 12-03-2010 09:02 PM A Beautiful Mind... so brilliantly sad.
