Wife gone to bed feeling under the weather - so I might see if I can watch "The Great Escape" and bore the kids, or as we have snow all around, I might try for "Where Eagles Dare".

Oh man! What a GREAT flic!
My mom and I went to see Where Eagle Dare when I was a kid. I remember thinking that the scene where they are all sitting around the table, and Richard Burtons character starts spouting off about who the spy is and who the traitor is....
It completely lost me. But the gondola seen and chase seen in the snow plow made up for it.

It is one of my all time favourite films. Unfortunately (or I suppose fortunately) the wife recovered, so no Where Eagles Dare, in the end Strictly Come Dancing, disaster!!! Never mind, I will see it again one day.

Where Eagles Dare- we literally wore that movie out when I was in the navy. We LOVED it, especially the part where Burton is spouting off. This is going to sound a little corny, but another movie we just couldnt get enough of - Red Dawn. We just could NOT get enough of that movie.
