I didn't get a signed one
But I've started the copy I DO have. Because I finished Swamplandia! last night. Karen Russel is a terrific writer. She has a real talent for descriptive phrases that are out of the ordinary. I highly recommend it for Bubba's Book Club if you're looking, Bubba

I can't imagine signing my name 500 times, often several times a year. Yikes. I thought buying a house and all the signing that goes on with that was too much, even.
Back on topic, I'm still plowing through Quicksilver, but at a much improved pace now that I have a kindle app on my windows phone 7. I can read during little breaks during the day.

I figured. Ya know, I'm a fan, and I really hold Neil in high regard. But I'm just not one of those people who gets front row seats, drum sticks, signed books, and so forth, nor do I send the man cookies. That's a whole different level of "fan." I wouldn't even know how to get on the list to receive a signed book. Or was it just ordering from his website super quickly? Anyhow, I just look forward to receiving my edition, unsigned (alas!) And if I ever did see him (meet? Forget it. I feel the way he does about meet and greets!!!) I would flash him the down-low peace sign, and we'd both go on our merry way.

Mate, when I write my book I will sign it and send you a copy.....Just got to get started on it.......
