Maybe they feel it's their best picture, LOL!

The Slow Person's Society. I'm no speed demon but... and not just on the road. Apparently they are everywhere! Dodgy

Spiders.

I have been finishing my upstairs bath all day so I was moving a bit slower than usual.
I moved my paintball cleats (stored in my garage) so I could straighten up my mess.
I happened to glance at what scampered across my hand... and yelled some things that I was proud I even remembered how to pronounce. We have Brown Recluse here, and this one was brown... and reclusive... and hairy... and the bastard was at LEAST two feet across. Well - maybe one...

I launched the cleats straight up - one shattering an overhead light, the other slamming down on the roof of my truck after ricocheting off of the ceiling.
I followed up the initial tirade with several (I was told later) very loud, "SH!T SH!T SH!T SH!T!s
After learning what had happened, Dawn wisely closed the garage door before she burst into uncontrolled laughter.
There are times when I am uncertain why I like her.
Back later - a shower and underwear change is in order.

A Warrior like YOU - afraid of a little spider? Hardened fearless combat specialist? Afriad of a little 8 legged bug? Me too!

In fact....my wife, born and raised in Tuscon Arizona where they have corals full of tarantulas, adores those flippin hairy creatures to the point where she will terrorize me with one sitting 15 feet away. She'll pick them up and pet them and then shake them at me. After she calls the paramedics to revive me, she laughs and laughs for hours that big bad Boomer, biker and all, is afraid of a little tarantula.

She is EVIL - and I cannot defeat her!

Vile-evil-heartless creatures...

I speak of women... spiders just creep me out.

::::SHUDDER:::::

Think I would have done the same, Mufasa. I can handle small spiders like the ones in my garden, but big hairy ugly mofos are NOT welcome! Ugh!

RE: The Pet Peeve - Bageleth - 06-19-2011 07:08 PM

I'm glad that you weren't bitten Mufasa!

Almost makes you wonder sometimes - then I take one look at a spider, and she starts giggling like mad.

And this is the same woman I trust with my money and my house.
