Younger brothers who can't seem to get their act together, and who rely on others in the family to pick up the slack, even those who are critically ill.

You what wanna know pissed me small peeve thing...

The lack of lighters.

Not to go old school carlin on ya, but in these windy tunnels , walls of wages put forth by this band against the wind face to the sun, a tidy sun castle in the seeping willowdales of such pitiful little cranks. Hug them as you may, buy the fly tie by the tye dye by the topwater lurkers a dirk and inboobable force, the black mole of skin cancerX2.

And The Lack of Lighters in Concert Places Makes Me Wonder
About when flicking your bic in homage to a band
Made sence to an audience of handheld false light

Another one - ENGINEERS! Not sound engineers, but rather the obtuse neophyte civil, structural, or mechanical engineers who think they know it all right out of college.

Last one - PEOPLE who choose NOT to replace the TP with a new roll. And I see I am not the ONLY one ! ! !

Politicians and toilet paper! A new thread?

HA HA!!! I think you could fill VOLUMES just on toilet paper ABOUT politicians.

Having a case of wicked Brain Freeze, and then having trusted loved ones pointing and laughing at you because of your agonizing pain! Tongue

I know he has brains, but he just doesn't use them!

The Peeve of the week for me has Got to go to the gent that stood in line in front of me today at the DMV. Of course he is dressed in all camo and smells like cat urine or some other hunting lure, and of course I am thrilled to be at the DMV to begin with. But the guy is braggin about all the poor deer he has killed. Here is just two excerps;
" ya last year up on that old man's ridge I killed me a 174 pounder and took me a 126er in the late spring". "got me a doe by mistake this last winter, harharharharcough, she sure was a biggin too". " moma maken jerky outta her".

I quietly played out my responses to myself and never said a word. With my luck I'd get arrested, But I seriously just don't get that mind set though. I know hunting must have it's place but do ya have to act like a hick? And are there not grocery stores anymore to buy quality meats? The phychological profile on the modern day hunter interests me.

Guess that's why it's called a PeeveAngry

You must not live in a a deer infested state. Around here in Iowa, deer are more like pests. They eat all the farmers crops, cause traffic issues, and can even be found meandering around the downtown area fairly frequently. Nothing against the deer. They are wonderful creatures when you see them in the habitat they are meant to live in. Unfortunately for you, Mr Bambi sounds like he done spent way too much time in the woods. Seen a lot of them hicks at the Wal Mart just down the road a fur piece. I think they was lookin fer ammunition???

Unfortunately for you - there are a lot of us who enjoy wilder and somewhat less available meats such as bison, goose, duck, deer, and for those of the most southern gland, alligator. I have a particular delight in buffalo meat BUT - I can get it readily at my neighborhood meat market where I can be a bit more civilized about it. Ya reckon ???

Don't laugh, I know that sometimes it is on purpose.

I described it in another post (can't find it now for the life of me) but my father tells the story of when he was in the Forces that often the favourite cook would put a whole egg - shell and all - into the big mixing pot that the powdered sh!t went into. That way some of the folks could be guaranteed of getting a wee bit of shell in their scrambled eggs so they thought that this particular cook was using real eggs and not just powdered junk.

And that's why he was the favourite cook. Smart fella.

My pet peeve: I hate it when people tell me not to "talk shop" when I am at a party or elsewhere!!! I am all about shop! I work 24/7 and my job is challenging. I am constantly learning and reading and trying to improve and it's just on my mind 24/7. I enjoy talking with other lawyers (and nonlawyers) about legal issues and new case law, and, most of all, telling WAR STORIES! My career is work and not work at the same time; know what I mean? I hate it when I am having a good discussion with another lawyer and some idiot comes by wagging their finger at me saying, "tsk tsk tsk, no shop talk here." "Shut the f*ck up!" I want to scream. "Was I talking to you?!" But of course instead of saying that I just get all fake and smile and say, "Oh, sorry."

Don't tell me not to talk shop. I'll talk it all day and night.

Maybe next time that happens I will just start talking about Rush and not stop until someone tells me to go back to talking shop Big Grin
