RE: You KNOW that Bubba's on here... - RaoulDuke - 02-17-2012 06:04 PM I'm so lookin' forward to a new CD release by someone... It'll definitely help break up the mundane. ....and the tour that will follow. How many shows can I fit into this one? At least two. RE: You KNOW that Bubba's on here... - VincentUlyssis - 02-17-2012 08:55 PM Time to build up the stamina. Start working those triple paradiddles! RE: You KNOW that Bubba's on here... - nettiesaur - 02-17-2012 08:59 PM Time to save some cash so I can afford some tickets. RE: You KNOW that Bubba's on here... - VincentUlyssis - 02-17-2012 09:02 PM It'll be rough this year but how can I possibly miss it? RE: You KNOW that Bubba's on here... - Gungawoman - 02-17-2012 09:10 PM After going to my 1st show last year, I WON'T be missing another tour! A little playtime, a little organizing, maybe paint a room (or not-see how I feel; lately I have aches and pains in my elbows, knee, neck and back-I'm certain painting wouldn't help). Our kiddos are off, and we thought a/b going skiing in Vermont, but they haven't gotten much more snow than us here in WNY. Not really into paying those kinda rates to ski on man-made snow when we can do the same right out our back door! Taking a couple days to go to Kalahari Waterpark in Sandusky, OH instead...pretend it's summer and stand in long lines with a million screaming kids...good times! One of those "for the kids" getaways, ya know? When's it our turn!!??? Sounds like a blast! I've decided to carve a few days out to paint our entrance foyer. It rises about 20 feet or so...I'll have to buy a ladder. Wanted to pay someone but it would cost between $1500-$1800. Ouch. I used to be a house painter back in the day before multiple disc herniations but I'll just take my time. Whoo hoo what fun I'm going to have! I'll make it tolerable with some good music. Maybe towards the end of the week we'll go into NYC to check out the Intrepid Museum (have never been there). We've been to "The Cradle of Aviation" on Long Island and it's really cool with early planes to the lunar module and a few years ago to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. I've been wanting to see the Intrepid for some time. Luckily the fam digs it too! Afterward we'll check out something good to eat in the city. RE: You KNOW that Bubba's on here... - VincentUlyssis - 02-25-2012 09:50 AM Humble pie. Finished most of the painting. Hiring to finish the high stuff. Stomach's not as strong as it used to be. Never made it to the museum... "He believed he had taxed the forbearance of the powers above to the extremity of endurance, and that this was the result." Twain The remainder of the weekend will be full of the usual cleaning, shopping, etc. Hopefully with some time to rest. Monday will thus arrive. Reflection on Monday mornings... "Monday morning found Tom Sawyer miserable. Monday morning always found him so, because it began another week's slow suffering in school. He generally began that day with wishing he had had no intervening holiday, it made the going into captivity and fetters again so much more odious." Also Twain. |
