Do you reckon (in his spare time) our Bubba is the lender of last resort in Germany, and is propping up the Euro and EU?

Given the number of BMWs he buys, I think he's definitely making the German economy run well....

That is true - I gather the German economy has benefitted enormously from the Euro, (which the Southern EU states with their poor economies, have acted as a drag to prevent the Euro reaching its full value) - were Germany selling BMW`s in Marks, then they would probably half as much again........so Bubba had better get an order in, in case the next GS costs a hold load more than before, (that is before the Euro and EU implodes on itself, and the Germans eject themselves from it and back to the Mark).

Sorry Lanix - I have been quite caught up in all this Global Finance stuff - what with Fractional Reserve Banking, Re-Hypothecation, Printing, LTRO`s, Ben Helicopter Bernanke, Super Mario Draghi, Merv the Swerve King, and thus far I have been able to conclude.............

That we are all doomed to a life of penury!!!.......and no retirement......hence my longing for far off places in the Sun....

Bubsie,

While you're in Brooklyn take some time to check out the scene in Williamsburg. It's really happenin'. Great food and a real down and dirty artsy vibe. It's the place lately. You won't regret. And no one will recognize you. It's a younger crowd. I feel like an old man when I'm there but like it just the same.

I'll be prayin' for your safety on this tour.

Vin

Oh shoot! Did I break some rule again!!?? Too personal dude, too personal. Sorry in advance. Peace and love-nothin' else here.

Never fear my friend the longing is not as far off as you think; assess your NPV and head west fast and hard.

I am guessing you are refering to Net Present Value and not a Bubba Vehicle - unfortunately my NPV (although showing a positive return on investment, is displaying signs of deminishing marginal returns - cash flows reducing / cost of capital increasing, and the return is not pricing in risk, systemic financial failure, and the time value of money correctly, given the QE printing and debasement of currency lately).......

But I do agree we are not far off from some form of European collapse....I am growing veg, buying tinned stuff.....we are not allowed to buy guns and ammo, (but that might be a choice too).

Bubba, I'm not even sure you will see this but I wanted to show you something....

It was important to me to commemorate what you and your bandmates did for me. This seemed right. Thank you.

Spiffy!

RE: You KNOW that Bubba's on here... - NWoBHM - 06-14-2012 11:30 AM

I suppose a few Grillers will know that in the UK, certain goods which are consumed or used by HM the Queen, have what is known as a "Royal Appointment", and the companies who provide these goods or services are allowed to place on the marketing spiel of their packaging the text "By appointment to HM the Queen".

Now I was thinking how much fun it would be if Bubba (perhaps through the offices of Brutus), could let the Grill know if he has dabbled in any of the recipes posted here.....and having tried any, found them worthy of Bubba Appointment

A sort of "By appointment to Bubba" mark.....

Just a thought...
