I fell into the category of not knowing understanding who Rush was, till in my early 20’s one of my guy friends sat me down and told me WHY I SHOULD LIKE RUSH. I got a lecture on the finer points of their skill, their musicianship, and just how freakin’ wonderful they are. And then he made me listen, and told me what to listen for. And that was it. I was hooked. I get a little put out when I hear that “Chicks don’t get Rush”. I get it just fine, thank you very much. But I do agree with your wife, Getty’s early voice does put my teeth on edge. I love his voice now. It has a lot more depth to it than it did before.
