Oh thank goodness! I thought it was something I said... Wink

Bubba, if you check in here: Welcome back to North America. I hope you had a lovely time in New Orleans, my original home town Smile

So I just read the "June News" on NP.net. Brilliant as always. It has been a particularly trying day at the office today so it was a pleasant surprise when I navigated to the site to see the latest update.

Bubba,
I love your writing style as much as your drumming, ironically the two elements that intrigued me in the first place way back when I was fourteen.

As I mentioned in some other thread ( I was blog happy one lonely quiet day at work last week and posted so many times that I received a "warning" message from one of our fine administrators-Sorry again!), I started to finally read FAR AND AWAY for the second time (I read it one piece at a time when it was originally posted on the site) and I'm thoroughly enjoying it! It really is fantastic and interesting reading...

On the note of my "hyper-blogging"... I was actually upset that I had unintentionally upset someone associated with Bubba's site. I felt "oh my goodness, I'm one of THOSE fans that is occasionally written about!" I think I went home and had to take a nap after work, a rare occurance these days. After a pre-dinner galss of red and a walk through my flower gardens I felt much better, hoping that my anomoly was understood as an innocent mistake.

This Saturday is our "Day of Drum Kit" with visiting artists "Jobee" Bergamini and Mike Sorrentino. It will be several hours of just drumming. It must be important for me to give up a Saturday! Gio and I can't wait. Speaking of Gio, the 13 year old is a drum animal! I can't believe his progress.

I've been working many 14 hour days in April, May and early June with concerts, board meetings, music festivals, art exhibits and the like. Running it all and finding the money to pay for it all!...and the personalities!!!!! Now that things are beginning to wind down a bit, I can't help but feel that high level intensity of emotion as my body, mind and emotions doesn't know what to do with myself as I face the end of year. When I was a teacher it took that first week off to totally decompress from the long school year. With this position-12 months- and all of its demands, I never seem to be able to decompress. As I'm wrapping up one year, I'm starting another. So many challenges!! I had no idea what I was getting into. Thankfully, once in a while I take the opportunity to escape and visit the places that I'll probably never see-thanks Bubba and Brutus for those great shots of Northern Europe!

Hope you have a great time on Saturday VincentUlyssis, you and the boy. Then take Sunday to rest and recharge... don't want to over-work and have your immune system get cranky Smile

Thanks Scythe! I'll try to do that, though I have three services Sunday on bass guitar (it's great playing Geddy Lee, John Entwistle and John Paul Jones style at church-I rock!); after that I hope to spend some quiet time with the family and in the garden! A nice glass of red would be nice too!

A Holy Trinity of bass players...

Yes...oh and I forgot Sir Paul. He's brilliant and most don't realize it.
