Of course...just freaky. Too bad the few ruin it for the rest of us... anyway-still hoping for a Bubbafest (bar and Grill Members get together) soon.

It's funny how the thong joke made it across several threads!

It's a perfect day here on Long Island. Low humidity, 84 for the high, blue skies, slightest breeze. Wish you were all here. I'd leave work at 12:30 (Friday summer hours) and meet you all at this great bar/restaurant on the water in Huntington, NY for a glass of something...

Neil's probably getting up about now (it's 7am in Ca) to walk the dog and "hang" with Olivia. Ahh..life is good!

Beautiful here in WA, too.

Every time I think of Bubba reading to Olivia I Smile

Me too! I can remember doing that with Caprielle (aka Cappy these days). Now she's 15 and boy does she read. I'm so proud of her and what she is becoming. It's beautiful to a father to watch his daughter grow up. There are no proper words to describe the inner connection and love that I feel for her specifically. All I know is that when I'm old and slower I hope that she'll let me help keep her garden. She is the outdoors nature lover like here dad.

We used to read to our daughter at bedtime every night. We had "Stories and Songs" which was a tradition until she entered 7th grade. We'd trade off, my husband and I (even our room mate, her Godfather, would take a turn until he moved). A story followed by a song every night without fail. She had favorite stories - Owl Babies, Our Friends At Maple Hill Farm, Hop On Pop - but we'd never get tired of reading them. For songs, we seldom sang "kiddy" songs, opting instead to sing our favorites. That's how her musical palette grew so large and colorful. We would often choose from our Prog Rock library and she loved Genesis best of all. Still does. (Sorry Bubba but she loves you and the Boyz, too!)

Vincent, these things we did for and with our kids when they were growing up are so much a part of the adult they become. And I know that they will remember when they become parents and those traditions and loves will be passed along. Give your Cappy a hug from me and my Katie! And Bubba, if you're reading this, one for Olivia, too. Heart
